Along with a great team of professionals, my role is to support deployment of the upcoming AWS Data Centers in my region. Working together to deliver the infrastructure to the Networks Teams, proactively providing solutions and tangible results. My role involves coordinating with my team’s workload, which consists of a range of tasks related to deploying new systems on next generation, state-of-the-art Data Centers.
My primary responsibility still is to ensure the smooth operation of our data center. This involves coordinating and managing my team’s workload, and also maintenance of the physical infrastructure that supports the data center’s IT systems.

Some of the tasks I was involved in were Fiber Optics management and interconnection between different communication rooms in the Data Center.
Multilevel office area with all the infrastructure to manage all north island operations for McDonalds. 111 cameras, 36 Wireless Access Points, and more than 440 data outlets, all managed between 4 data cabinets and a main Communications Cabinet.
A massive 200m by 100m warehouse with the latest on food storage technology. More than 150 Wireless Access Points. 6 Remote Communication Cabinets connected via Fiber Optics and 2 Main Commsrooms.
This 9800 square metre complex is part of the University’s $120 million development plan to meet the growth in student numbers at Auckland.
After working on several residential and commercial buildings around the city I had the opportunity to work with Honeywell on the development of Franklin’s new private Hospital.
A Residential Skyscraper in the heart of Auckland City. A Project managed by Icon Construction. I was part of a team of 2 technicians. Between the two of us we managed to install all the network, intercom, and tv for the entire building in no more than nine months.
The variations of scenarios made this job a huge undertaking and a learning ground for all the IT professionals that were involved in it. Every day presented different challenges on this dynamic project.
The project consisted on a total of 6 Sub Units. Each unit with their own Communication Room with more than 300 data outlets each. All interconnected to each other via Fiber Optics.
Installed and configured digital interactive light controls for In-room use by guests. System responsive to user input, time of the day, weather and season.
An Apartment complex located on Queen Street, Auckland’s Queens Square comprises 231 superior freehold strata title residences and 9 boutique retail shops, which wrap around a private landscaped urban sanctuary in the heart of Auckland City.
In 2017 working on my first project with Data Pacific I was given the opportunity to do the Structured Cabling, Cat6A termination and Commissioning of the Network running on this building.

As the field has evolved, so has the lab. Back in 2016 I had the opportunity to work along Callender Electric for the lab’s major renovation. The lab was expanded to include a larger workspace and updated equipment, such as more advanced robotics hardware.
