Commercial Bay

Commercial Bay was a massive commercial job that included a huge number of construction companies and contractors. Data Pacific had the contract for the Basement’s Parking Lot, Shopping Mall and the Foodcourt located on the
first 6 levels of the building and other 9 levels up on the tower. All Networking, from the Fiber Optics Backbone and outlets to the final fit-out was conducted from Jan 2018 to Oct 2019.

The variations of scenarios, made this job a huge undertake and a learning ground for all the IT professionals that we were involved on it, when not any day was the same and there was a different challenge to take on with every new task.

I owe a lot to the team I had the pleasure to work with, to Fletcher construction for keeping us safe and to Data Pacific to gave us the support and the tools to get this project through the finish line. 

There was so much work involved that I didn’t had a day when I didn’t learned something new. And for that, I’m grateful  

Skills I acquired from this project: Team and Material management. NZ safety standards on Commercial Projects. Project deadlines. Systems Integration. Fiber Optics Testing and Commissioning. Wi-Fi deploying and configuring. Security Cameras. IP Cameras Protocols. VoIP.
