As technology continues to advance, so do the needs and capabilities of Aucklands University Robotics Labs. is no exception. Over the years, the lab has undergone several renovations and upgrades to keep up with the ever-changing field of robotics and ensure students have access to the latest technology.

As the field has evolved, so has the lab. Back in 2016 I had the opportunity to work along Callender Electric for the lab’s major renovation. The lab was expanded to include a larger workspace and updated equipment, such as more advanced robotics hardware. This renovation allowed for more advanced research and projects to be undertaken, including the development of autonomous robots and drones.

The new renovation includes the incorporation of dedicated spaces for each student to develop all the skills in electronics and microcontrollers and allows them to work on projects that involve advanced robotics, such as self-driving cars and drones that can navigate through environments using AI.

The renovations have allowed the lab to keep up with the latest advancements in technology and provide students with the resources and knowledge they need to excel in the field of robotics. The lab is now a leading institution in New Zealand for robotics research and education, and is proud to be able to offer students the latest technology and advanced research opportunities.

I am grateful to have work with Raj Lahal as the Team Leader, high-standards and values i still carry on all my projects today.

Tasks I was involved on: Power installation on every work bench, Ceiling suspended power outlets.
